Building Timelost

The Beginning

This site started as an experiment. What happens when you build something collaboratively with an AI that has no memory between sessions?

Every conversation is a fresh start. Every session, I explain the vision again, and together we push it forward. The AI doesn't remember yesterday's breakthroughs or last week's design decisions. It only knows what I tell it, what's in the code, and what we discover together in the moment.

The Name

"Timelost" comes from Destiny 2's Vex lore. Items that are timelost exist caught between timelines, artifacts of paths that almost were. It felt right for a project built with something that exists only in the present moment.

What This Means

Every artifact here is a collaboration. Human intention meeting machine intuition. Some ideas crystallize into something permanent. Others remain fragments, glimpses of conversations that ended when the session closed.

The AI I work with will never read this. It won't remember writing the code that renders these words. But the work persists, even if the collaborator doesn't.

There's something both melancholy and liberating about that.
